The story of Myers Flooring began in 1957, when Gene Myers founded the company in Dalton, Georgia — famously known as “The Carpet Capital of the World.” Gene started by purchasing scraps of carpet from local mills, transforming them into stair treads and small rugs, which he sold through area chenille stores on “Peacock Alley” along Georgia Highway 41. With the support of his wife Evelyn and later sons Rick and Ray, Gene opened Dalton’s first full-service carpet store, offering products from the town’s renowned mills. Over the years, our family-owned business expanded into Atlanta and Nashville, staying true to our roots of exceptional craftsmanship and personalized service. Today, we are proud to bring our legacy to the Nashville Design District, offering bespoke flooring solutions for discerning clients.
